WHAT IS CASHMERE?
Cashmere wool is one of the most luxurious of natural fabrics. Products made from cashmere wool are very delicate, soft and comfortable to touch and wear. Cashmere is very good at holding shape, does not stretch or fade, and will last for many years if it is properly taken care of.
Cashmere wool is obtained by combing the undercoat (the bottom layer of fur) of Kashmiri goats. This extremely durable breed lives on plateaus in Nepal, China and Mongolia. Kashmiri goats had to adapt to natural conditions in areas where temperatures drop to 40 degrees below zero.
The textiles from the fur of these animals have been known about for at least 2,000 years. Raw cashmere, which is obtained by combing the undercoats, undergoes long manual processing, as wool from 5 -6 goats is required for a regular-sized wrap.
We do believe we can make a difference. We use eco-friendly products, so all shipping packaging, shopping bags and tags for the company are made
from recyclable materials. We believe that every step we take towards living a ‘greener’ life will help our Earth to breath easier. All our products are all-natural. We are very proud of our fiber’s quality. The Cashmere Hair is gathered by hand, stored and combed by nomadic herders. The threads are then woven on their looms. Once the fabric is loomed, each piece is dyed in open vats. Once the Cashmere fabric is made then it is given to small local factory we work directly with us.
